It's that time of year again my friends. Time to break out the Halo RED!!!

Sports Illustrated has the Angels going all the way this year and I for one am a believer!
But I claim this every year. LOL With the some money well spent on some prize free agents "Pujols & Wilson" we just might have the missing pieces to the puzzle. Sit down and hold on for another wild season of Halo Baseball!

Aside from Pujols, I'm excited to see that the Angels have added a "Deep Fried Hot Dog" to their menu items.

The Angle's look like a bunch of heavy hitters. To me SO's, speed, and defense look like your weakness..

With Texas in the division and Detroit, BoSox, Tampa and Stanks shootin for wildcard if they don't win their division I see Angle's having to work to get into playoffs

Hey Guys,
I haven't been this excited about wearing The Angels Red since the summer of 2002!! A lifelong Angels fan since the 1960s here in Southern California I think it is going to be a great year to watch no matter which way it goes! We still need a bit of refinement, but win lose or draw it's gonna be a great season.

My Angels wish list

1) team batting average is over 300 by the All Star break,
2) 3, 20 game winners in the starting rotation, Weaver, Wilson, and Harren. (maybe 4!?,.. Santana?)
3) Trumbo has less than 15 errors at third, (none for un-earned runs), and bats over 300 with 25+ home runs.
4) Morales picks up exactly where he left off two years ago.
5) Jordan Walden saves 35+
6) Bobby Abreu does not get traded and becomes THE journeyman DH in the Majors!
7) Trout returns from the minors and becomes THE late season success story of the Majors this year.
8) The Angels bullpen matures into a reliable and effective middle relief pen that it has the potential to be.
9) Weaver wins his first Cy Young Award
10) Bourjos (my favorite) in either a starting position or pinch, steals more bases that anyone. (as well as hitting over 275)
11) Tory has the season of a lifetime (just cuz he would enjoy it the most!)
12) Williams becomes the comeback story of the decade, and throws a sub 3 ERA, 12-15 winning game year.
13) Pujols stays healthy and just does what he does!!
14) Mike Scioscia is cannonized a Saint by the Pope, and declared a National Treasure by Obama

and last but not least,...

15) The Dodgers somehow make it a Freeway Series and the east coast goes to bed while we have the time of our lives!!! Hee Hee Hee !!!

Absolutely and that's exactly what I was doing! Just thought the Dodger fans hatred of the Giants is so great you'd have nothing left for us lowly Angel fans.

It should be a really fun year and I'm kind of flexible we have both Dodgers and Angels games on TV, grew up Dodger blue but really enjoy the ANAHEIM Angel games these days, I fit in a little better with that crowd.

Soooo excited for opening day!!! Hope Weaver has a hell of an outing and pujols does his thing! Just got done reading his book and I am more excited to see him in action in Halo Red than ever!

On another note, anyone read about how the cops busted into Hunter's Newport home 2 nights ago? Wondering if I should ask him if I can fish off of his boat dock.

Apparently Tori Hunter accidentally set off his alarm at his house and when the police showed up he went outside to greet them and they didn't know who he was at first! LOL! He did say that they were professional as they escorted him at gun point to get his ID. They then said they were Angels fans and wished him luck.LOL!

I think it's funny cause I don't know an Angel fan that does like being referred to by Los Angeles takes away our identity. Don't get it Anaheim is a very well known city, Disneyland duh! Why Artie needed to rename it makes no sense to most of us, but I guess maybe since baseball is followed world wide it made some sense to him financially.

Kendry still looks like he's on a rehab assignment, Hunter has more Run Ins with the Police than Runs Scored, and Albert "I'm Really 35 Years Old But Don't Tell My Agent" doesn't seem to be earning his keep.

I was at the game last night weaver pitched 6 giving up 2 hits and no runs kendry hit a 3 run bomb in the first with pujols and kendrick on base (pujols hit was a missle) , kendry tore it up thrown out on what should have been a double down the line. And robbed of a bomb in his 3rd at bat great catch by coco crisp tho they will come through its early.

Well it is a good thing that it is a long season. The bullpen is killing us and our bats aren't in sync. It is still early but man is this painful!

Hey Guys,

Weaver throws a No, No, Kendrick and Morales puts em in the seats, everybody hits! Home crowd crazy!! HERE WE COME!!! On top of Texas at the break! (trade or buy, a closer if not? ) Trout in the lineup!

My lineup,...

1) Aybar SS - still an action player, good speed, a threat on base, streaky hitter, but seems to be seeing the ball better. Undeniable defense!!!
2) Trout CF - this kid is about to explode! give him his time!
3) Hunter RF - still the lynch pin of the team's spirit
4) Pujols 1st - drilled it three times last night, was more patient at the plate, I think he is moments away!
5) Morales DH - gimpy run, but who cares when you hit it as hard as he does.
6) Kendrick 2nd - no worries here! Solid solid solid!!!
7) Trumbo 3rd - he's starting to feel at home at third and his bat is still as scary as it gets.
8) Ianetta C - best game caller we have, (Weaver's pet.)
9) Bourjos LF - struggling a bit but in the middle and late innings, could provide some good action. I just love how FAST he is!

Things are starting to gel, (except perhaps Albert). Last night could be a turning point for everyone. I hope it fires up the bullpen. There is talent there they just need the spirit! As far as Albert? give him his time, he is too good and smart a player to let this slump continue for too much longer. One thought, I love Mickey but maybe it's time for some new blood? new perspective? Just a thought.

I love Albert, but I just found it funny that when they signed him, 'some' Angels fans were already planning the World Series parade route along Main Street, USA, Disneyland, and nothing irks me more than uninformed fans.

When asked, "Who's gonna hit around him and actually protect him in the lineup?" nobody seemed to have a good answer. Vernon Wells and Kendry Morales? Good luck with that!

And, of course, we'll get the "Wait until Pujols finally starts swinging like his old self again!"

So that managers will just pitch around him?

Apparently this high priced acquisition wasn't thought out very much. It almost feels very Dodger-esque. Perhaps that's why you share our name in yours. :-D
