I have to agree. I've fished by the boathouse and that's definitely not what the surrounding area looks like. Doesn't look like any part of the park that I know. Either way, nice bass man.

Just to the right of the boat house it goes from a deeper area to a very shallow flat. Boat house is to my left. You better go back and look again. Bring a rod too.

OK guys... I can't stand it anymore, and I am a terrible liar... APRIL FOOLS! BabyKiller wins the prize! I wonder how many lurkers went to Fairmount today?...Ha-ha! Seriously though, and no BS, I have caught a couple very nice bass there at the park. I have real photos and witnesses! There are some big ones in there, but they are VERY hard to catch.

Where was that bass caught? That place reminds me of some fishing spots in Arkansas.

smokehound- That bass was a 12 pounder and was caught buy an old taxidermy customer from a small lake called Crawfish Springs Lake, in Chickamauga, in the north-western part of the state of Georgia.

Nothing I haven't gotten a bite this year yet there. I have been in my usual area though mostly between the tank and the rose garden. I take back the no bite thing I did catch a 3 pound cat on a crappie tube.

When you fish lakes (ponds) like that you have to understand that fish get acquainted with the crap that young kids throw into the lake. Basically, human food...lol. They will still feed on the everyday bass stuff once in a while if they are truely hungry. Think about what food kids toss into the lake and that's your number 1 go to bait.

Last time I went to Fairmount Park I caught a 10 pound Walleye. That was April 1 last year. I really need to get back there. Maybe I will catch a 20 pound Walleye next time. You never know what you might catch there, especially on April 1. LOL
