tri city park with my niece

Went to tri city with my niece today to see if the bass were done spawning. Unfortunately they weren't! I want them to hurry up and switch back to normal already... no bluegill spotted anywhere. Even tossed.out a bit of nightcrawler to the middle of the lake.. not a bite!

Very strange...

Anyway, I decided to perform a rabbit trick and persuaded this mudhole bruiser to bite my superhog:

We kept trying for bass until 6 then we called it a day... she's getting the hang of it!

Glad you got your niece on some action, though I can't understand why you wouldn't hesitate at plucking some bass off beds? Far too many of those invasive Green trash fish in Cali...

I felt bad for that catfish.. someone ripped its upper lip apart and the poor things whisker was dangling by a flap. It was still a fresh wound too..

I could have put her on a bedding bass but Id rather she developed some post spawn skills. She didn't want to bother them during spawning anyway :)

She thought it was mean to do so. I'm gonna take her to the docks for some spottiest next time. Shell love it!
