Looks great Bob. Bet you can't wait to get that New Fish Smell

All that effort will pay off on the water. Fresh batteries, re-wire, new plumbing. Turn the key and go. First Class

Now if we could get you to shave before the photos.....JK of course.

Good luck this year.

Man that looks sharp. Did you cover the whole wood with adhesive or just the edges and staple the rest?

mark i wiped all the blood all over my shorts, and yes there was alot, rob i still have the ones on the back of the boat. the funniest thing was when i was undoing the live well door after i removed that section of the deck, there were so many striper scales that came out i should have saved them and glitter bombed carpboy,,,it wont take long bill and the boat will be smelling like dead stripers again actually, this sat for a pyramid guide,,,,,,,,,,t/o,,,,,,,,

Wow Bob.
You did a stellar job on the interior. It looks great. You must know someone in the flooring business.
I am glad you are going to be back on the water this weekend. We have missed your reports. Good luck fishing and look forward to seeing you on the water

Very nice Bob, it's just like a new boat.

I have very nearly the same model (Fish Hawk 1600, 2001) and was considering doing this myself. Do you think this is a job that someone with little/no flooring experience can tackle? How much time did it take? On my boat, the structure is in pretty good shape, so I would just be doing the re-carpeting.

shinbob you can do it youreself ,just do it slow and easy getting in a hurry if youre inexperinced will get you in trouble.one of the most important things is to measure 2 or 3 times before you cut ,or cut it a little long that way to can cut until you get the perfect fit , most people try to cut it perfect the first cut then they miscut and make it short, then youre screwed because once its short then you have to figure out how to fix it,,,,,,,karl get off youre lazy a/s/s/ and get to fishing ,,,,,lol,,,,,,,,,,

Hell you work all week, and it's cold and fing windy on the weekend!
Friday Good Fishing Friday is coming.
I'm thinking heading to SilverWood.

The other option is to make templets out of cardboard or paper.
I did that with the new trolly mount.
I made four before cutting any plastic!
It came out nice.

KP
BOB save me some fish!
You can use that brown roll paper for painting from HD.

T/O,

Tell us about your Johnson Outboard, how many hrs, are you happy with the motor?

I know you troll a lot and also tow the boat a lot so any info would be great

kid my engine just about has the world record for hours 3/4 of them trolling ,trolling hours are way different the wide open hauling as/s/ hours, regular maintence keeps her going ,ive been super pleased with the engine and boat,i think ive been to more different lakes and more hours on them than most any boat in so cal, im not sure of the hours but the main man at castaic marine whoes been working on boats for 25 yrs told me hes never seen a boat with those kid of hours,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks for the feedback. I know that trolling typically cuts down on engine life but it doesn't seem so in your case.

Trolling may have been a problem for old school 2 or 4 stroke carb engines, but not for state of the art FI 4 strokes.
FYI I went to Silver wood and trolled all day (only met three fish) and zoomed a bit. Total fuel consumption on my DF70 was about 4 gal (per gauge). Sweet!
