3/28/12 report

Started fishing about 0800. I brought my son today. Anchored up to fish some bait in the west shore area. Lots of boats there. Yesterday when I trolled past this area I saw people catching fish. Well today none for me on bait. Gave up on this about 1000 and we starting trolling to the north went about 20 yard and got one on the surface.

Spent the rest of the day trolling around. Found some nice fish west of where I was yesterday. Had a good bite off rocky point going towards the dam in a big circle. 5 colors on the lead core and 30 to 40' on the down rigger. Lost lots of fish today but we did get a nice limit for 2..Water was warmer earlier today. I can't fish the Tourney so I figured i would pass along some info. Also the Mud Run is Saturday along with the tourney so if your shore fishing the flats..watch out for runners...

He is spoiled on the trouts..should make him catch 3/4 pound stockers for a year or two or 10 like I had to... going to be a zoo out there this weekend..I would have to guess its going to take a nice fish to crack the top 10..
