3/27 15.6lb Rainbow Trout toad fought and landed!!

With the trout bite continuing to be on fire, and the bigger units starting to show/bite/fight around the lake, Carl Rentschler of Rancho Palos Verdes lands this beautiful Rainbow Trout Toad weighing in at 15.6lbs. Rentschler who is also an avid saltwater fishermen was elated as he fought and landed the DD Trout for over 10minutes on the troll peeling drags! When I asked him for more info, he said it felt like it was tied to someone's prop as it hit his Rapala lure! Congratulations Carl!

awesome! I am still working on getting a monster trout like that (unless you count stealhead)
hope the meat is pink. I've had few big trout and white trout meat just doesnt taste good.

Definite beauty of a holdover. Is that a hookjaw and a nice broomtail I see? Wow no wonder it was such a good fighter! On the troll too, awesome!
