Got to the lake around 7am..No crowd to speak of.

Saw Hooks truck in the lot so I figured I would see what he was up to.. Trolled towards the west end and got a fish in the 2 pounds range right outside of trout island. Said hello to hooks and it didn't look all that hot for the catfish so I decided to just troll around and see what happens. Got a few small ones through out the day but no real bite or area of fish to work.
About 1300 I made a pass along a line from trout island heading west to the dam through the mid lake area and started getting bit real good. Got a 5 pound model.

Started metering lots of units in the area......

Picked up several more fish and ended up with a limit with about a 4 pound ish average. My scale had a dead battery but the one fish it worked on was 4.85

Good fishing to be had today. I only had 2 fish on the surface bite. all the rest were on lead core (3-5 colors) or down-rigger ( 30')

Thx for the report, looks like you had fun...I was out there last Friday. I found surface bite was good early, then slowed and had to fish deeper. I was out a little deeper on the LC and about 25' on the down rigger...

Nice job out there. Glad to hear the bite is still there even though it requires work. I'll be there on Friday I hope the weekly stock improves the bite just a little bit.

Nice job out there on the troll!! Thanks for the pics and shot of the meter. I was out last Friday also and the temp was 57-60 so looks like its still warming up a bit from then. I also noticed that metered fish were usually around 25-27' down so thought a thermocline might be effecting them (?)

Great report man, those are nicer grade fish. Good to know theyre heading deeper now. With water into the 60's it makes sense.
