Went to the Pudd today around 11 am, water was super dirty especially at sailboat cove, no fish but I was getting bit by gills or small crappie. Towards the end of the day I ended up back at the cove and on my fish finder I was seeing huge balls of bait fish and when I say huge I mean HUGE!!! I paddled over them on my kayak and about 10 of those black birds came out of the water with mouth fulls of fish. Bass were underneath them just didn't want what I had, I saw a couple jumping but no big rainbows of bait fish when the bass are on the hunt!

I was wondering about sailboat cove today. Thanks for the report. I fished at east shore for a while and only got a couple of bits, but no fish. Two people caught a few trout before I left.

Yea the temp was 70 to 72 the in some areas at sailboat cove and 68 pretty much everywhere else.

70!?!?!?! are you sure?!
I had a buddy go on Wed and he had 72 so yeah it's THAT HOT.

Yea I didn't belive it either but it was warm when I felt it! And my transducer is a through hull so it takes about 30 to 40 min to read temp correctly and I had been all day so I know it was reading right.

Must be why the water is so green.
