i thought dolphins are intelligent creatures, why would they beach themselves, chasing prey?

Whales are suppose to be smart too. They can hear each other 50 miles away.
But they can't get out of the way of a noisy, slow container ships ?

Great vid....really cool the way everyone just pitched in and helped the dolphins out to deeper water.....sometimes people treat animals better than each other......
