Any tips or advice.....?

Im going down to San Diego this weekend with a friend to hit up the Fred Hall show since we missed it up in L.A. and we are going to catch a charter out of H&M Landing before we go....any tips or advice on gear and anything else? rigs,bait, etc. any info is appreciated.thanks.

This time of year they maybe doing some rockfish fishing, I would take a shimano Lucanus in orange or red, 150 gram. Excellent rockfishing jig, better than bait. Use spectra, no stretch, much easier fishing when fishing deep.
