taking the girlfriend on her first fishing trip on Easter weekend. I looked at the DFG stocking report last week and saw - Cottonwood creek, Diaz creek, George creek, Independence and Lone pine creek on the schedule. Are these places open for fishing before the general opener? We just planned on fishing Lower Owens and PVR.

Since the early trout opener the first of the month, you can fish the creeks WEST of 395 South of Independence only...Don't do what my neighbor did a few years ago and fish east of 395 at Shepherds Creek as it cost him 400.00
