Headed up the canyon, needed a break from the PUDD. Arrived to see just 1 guy riding his bicycle up past us. Saw the first fish breaking surface so I proceeded down to the water and first cast first fish on my new CHINESE Tenkara rod 11' with kevlar furled leader and 5x tippet with my GO TO LYTLE CREEK FLY

We headed up stream and caught up with Robert he already had 1 fish.

This was going to be a good day. All of us headed upstream and fished few places without any risers or fish. Spoke too soon.

The next big pool i tied on a Spider fly and was at least 12 feet above the water as I presented as a dangling surface bug no line in the water. FISH ON !!! so we all stayed at this pool. After many many fish on the soft hackle and white tenkara (robert's choice) we went over to check out Mike's progress.

I was well above looking down and watching his CRICKET..DROPPER set up in action. Got to see one fish of mikes caught from that perspective.

We then headed down to fish downstream and found a nice pool with 3 sources of water dumping against a rock wall... BIG FISH ON after numerous drags up stream ....

Awesome report once again. Where did you pick up your Tenkara? I've been looking into getting one but the price is out of my range.

Just when i started to get the feel of casting my fly rod again, you guys go and start Tenkara fishing. Since I know nothing about Tenkara fishing, I was wondering if a long telescopic or multi sectioned panfish/crappie rod would work the same? Cabelas sells some inexpensive ones.

We made him leave it in the car. actully filled it up ,with my limit of those good tasteing fish.left my senior diapers, bundeled up there.left all my bait containers.made my own dams, tagged a few trees.actully,u know im just joking.. but its not a joke.seriously, ive seen evidence of everything ,i mentioned up there,.what a shame....i dont see how people can do that ,to a beautiful natural wild area.
