I came across the-fast knot tyer today and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? It looks like it would work great for people like me that need glasses. I also think it would work great for tying small fishing line when it is freezing out and your fingers will barely work.

I've been using one for years to tie nail knots, it's absolutely perfect for that application. Never even though about using it to tie hooks until I saw these videos. However, I would say that it does still take some dexterity to use the tie-fast tool, especially to keep the loops parallel to each other, and to feed the tag end through at the end (particularly for lighter lines). I'd still think that a uni-knot or a palomar knot is a bit easier to tie under those conditions. The spring-loaded cinch knot tool might be easier to use, but haven't tried out one of those yet.

I've used it for nail knots on tippit and tapered leaders for fly's for years also, great tool for fly fishing.

I too use it for nail knots. Works great. I believe they come in a small and a larger size.

Does it matter?

Dude got THIRD place!

(Although, that tells me is that I need to use the hooks the 1st and 2nd place finishers were using, because they work better)
