Any good tips for catching LM in fall/winter time....this will be my first winter/fall fishing for LM and was wondering if anyone had some good tips...mostly a shore fisherman...but got a tube..thanks fnn familia :Big Grin:

"Two words -they're deep-" is not entirely correct. Some Lmbs will be deep, while some will still be shallow.. I've caught them in 5-6 FOW in December and a few days later they are in 30 FOW. There are many factors involved here. What lake(s) do you fish?

I know if you want a decent day at perris dot scavenge the shallows every thing i come up on there are the dinks

Lake parris...fairmount park..live in riverside ......still need ti find some more good spots

Right on we got another perris fisher here you gotta meet up with us out there some time i fish with Konacrush and a few other guys off this site we are alway trying to build the perris alliance ha ha ha send out a post next time your looking to fish with someone new

shallow or deep i fish the bottom with bigger plastics and work at a crawl at best

Get yourself some crawdads and fish them with a small splitshot about 18"up and make a long cast and very slowly, allmost using a stitching the line technique, work the bait in, the bite can be a all out hard hit or a light pickup and swimming with it, for hookset, bow to the fish giving it some line and use a sweeping hookset and let your drag do the work, most fish will be of the bigger size.
