I headed out this morning to Juniper point to try my luck with better weather. Good idea I said LOL. I managed to limit out on some lil holdovers not the big ones everyone is craving though. They where going after crawlers & PB dipped in corn trout gravy both on long leader the worm about 2 ft & PB about 4ft. I also got to farm a few under the slip bobber w/ crawler 8 ft down or so.
Looking to be another great winter trout season is about to open up.

Forgot to add that I saw a small trout about 10-12in chase something on the surface for about 15 feet. I am talking half its body up out of the water hauling butt after something.

Hopefully there will be some good sized holdovers for the winter. Love the quality of BBL holdovers in the past, but it doesn't sound like any good sized ones reported yet for this season, still early though.

Nice fish, Cameron! Would love to see what that little bugger skimming the surface was chasing!!

@1HR2BBL - We've been lucky to get some pretty good size trout. Nothing over 3lbs, but plenty in the 2+ range. Would love to hook into one of those 7lb monsters!!!!
