Ghetto Livewell idea..

Items to be used:

Two five-ten gallon buckets.

Two pipes and something to seal them with..

Carbon filter to cleanse toxins

The bucket on the left houses the live bait, while the bucket on the right is the purifying bucket. This invention uses no electricity, and relies on gravity to work.

It might be annoying to make, but once i work out the kinks, it should be at least marginal in effect..


You simply put oxygen tablets in the right bucket, to charge it with oxygen, and the right sump pumps in oxygenated water. What i want to do is make it so that both pipes have a slider to start the current.

Sorta like those ghost shrimp suckers. When you pull the slider, it sucks the water from one bucket to the other, and the current keeps going until it runs out of water. The other bucket replenishes the water supply to it's twin.

So what do you guys think? Will this keep live bait for at least an hour?

why not use one bucket and put tablets in there...alot easyier and lighter...because eventually all the water in the 2 buckets are gunna get "old"....so just use one bucket,with tablets,and remove water with a cup everyonce and a while and replace itr with new,or you can go to walmart and buy a battery operated aireater,and make things easyer

just use 1 bucket and a pump. drill holes about 6" from the top of the bucket and pump fresh water in at the bottom :)
