I seen dead catfish and a few larger trout. But the trout were in really bad shape and appeared to have been there awhile. Maybe some of the 1st load?
I'll be there in the morn. and post up on it.

Could it be Marley was possibly making a joke? Light'n up guys have fun, I'm betting it was a joke, now me I think it's the toxic fumes from too much Team57 BBQ's on opening day.

Water temperatures are perfect ladies and gents. Water is hoovering in the low to mid 60's. The fish that died could have died from many reasons. An angler may have hooked them very deep and the fish and lost it and the fish maynot have been able to make it, birds of prey may have tried to grab it and caused fatal injuries to just being to stressed in new enviorments. I assure everyone that their is no die off going on. Wait and see the thread I am about to post. Fishing has been great this week.

I have not been to Irvine but it is very easy to tell when there is a die off at any lake. There would be thousands of dead fish floating. Bass, bluegill, shad, trout and catfish would be stacked up in the coves. A few dead fish around the lake should not be considered a, "Die off."

There is ABSOLUTELY a die off going on at the lake. Are you guys serious?

Did you see how many dead trout there were???

And I know exactly whats causing it too. It isn't the water temperature...

Its power worms, jigs, powerbait, and raps! LOL

there were 15 dead ones on our stringer just last week!

It was a joke, folks. Something happened on another board that went totally stupid. Of all places, Irvine Lake can be trusted to....
Why try. It's not worth it.

I will call your boss and tell him you have come down with a rare flu knowen as the "Trout Flu". The only way it can be cured is by coming fishing for Trout here at Irvine Lake.
