Got there when the gates opened at 7. Fished the main lake for about an hour on a drop shot and gulp alive minnow. Kept seeing a school of trout swim by and they sure were hungry. Had my first fish within five min. and another immediately after, and another after that. lol. Released two of them. Walked to the back lake with no such luck. Headed back to the main lake and switched up spots. Again I caught one immediately and hung out for awhile. The bite started to die down and the wind was coming through pretty good. After a couple hours it was time to change spots again. Paid off pretty well as I was starting to get bites again. Switched a minnow out for a lip ripperz. Caught three more within an hour and decided to call it a day. Seven trout on the day and I decided to keep five. Ill definitely be back to this place.

Oh yeah. Incredibly a bug flew between my face and hand as I was going to wipe my eye. SMOOSH! Right in the eye.

Its $7 to fish. They stock every two weeks. The next plant is on the 18th I believe.
Its only been stocked once so far, I think.

And yes white belt, the fishing was very good there today.

Thats what i thought too, thats why i dont fish those lakes... It'll cost you $17 on a weekend.. might as well just go corona or irvine. I'll admit, when i went to Guasti, there was a great bite though.

No seperate parking fee at Rancho a jurupa. It's 7$ total to go in and fish. They get state stock this week and county e/o week. After a month or so the state usually goes in back lake and Co in front.

Me and my buddy use to go here all the time. It is a great little trout lake. If you go right after the stock it is really easy to limit out there. Good spot to just go chill out with a buddy.

Thanks everyone. Besides the wind getting a little rough, this was definitely one of my best fishing days. I'm excited to go back.

Will you be there this weekend and is there any additional charge for Sat? I cant decide between this lake or Irvine!

The county will be stocking again on the 18th. I'm not sure how the back lake is, I didn't stick around it long enough to find out. I was having to much luck on the main lake.

Thanks for the info Trout Daddy. $7 is a dood deall. Thats good to hear because $22 at SARL, Corona, or Irvine gets expensive when you fish a lot. lol
