View Full Version : late afternoon at perris bass

]hit up perris yesterday at around 4pm had about an hour and a half befoe i had to be some were else so decided to try and catch some bass i just started fishing for bass this year.
well ended up riging a shaky head with a robo worm
tosed it near some plants and bam rod goes bendo so i start realing her in then she makes a run twords the right then makes a sharp turn left jumps out tring to spit the hook but its a no go for her land her shortly after i didnt have a scale but im guesing its around 1.5-2 lbs what do you guys think?? also she was the first one from perris ever lol pictures dont do her justice dam cheap phone

Hahaha...nice man. She's pushing 2#......shakyhead is my go to bait....never fails. I have caught most of my fish over 7# on a shakyhead. Including the 12.8# on my avatar.

Yep, appears close to the #2 marker. Those are all over the shallow area in the afternoon hours. Larger ones lurk in the shallow extremely early in the day. They retreat to the depths after the first crack of sunlight.

Nice 1 man, good spot 2, if you head into those bush's to the left there's lotsa open shoreline check it out
