I arrived at the lake around 4:30am. When I arrived there were about 10 or so cars in line ahead of me.
Kewly Clause and Jimmy VineAssist greated everyone in the lot around 6am and told everyone the pedestrian gate is now open and breakfast is served! I quickly locked up my van and headed to check-in and get breakfast.

After eating breakfast and getting my gear ready it was just about time for the main gates to open. As the gates opened everyone started honking their horns and cheering in excitement! I ended up being the 2nd boat in line so I was able to launch my boat quickly.
After parkng my van/trailer I returned to my boat. As I started to pull away from the dock my motor stalled. Almost as fast as that happened a guy in a 18'-20'ft boat gunned his 100+HP motor in reverse to pull of his trailer with out so much as even looking over his shoulder. Well you guessed it, as I braced for impact my 13'ft aluminum boat was T-boned by this much larger boat. Luckily I was OK and beside a small dent and scratch my boat is OK too! (If the person that T-boned my boat happens to read this thread DUDE, you always gotta look where your going especially when your backing up!
Anyways I headed up the West Shore towards the dam. Within 10 mins of leaving the dock I was fighting my 1st trout of the season! Whoooooooooo!

After putting my 1st fish on the stringer I snapped this photo of yet another beautiful Vine sunrise!

By 12pm I had my 5 fish limit so I decided to start heading in for some steak lunch. Here's a pic of my last fish of the day!

I limited out alittle early so they were still in the process of cooking all the steaks on the grill. I watched fish after fish, limit after limit hit the scale as I anxiously waited for lunch. I was 1st in line for food and as soon as those juicy steaks started coming off the grill, lunch was served!

After lunch I returned to my boat to take a couple pics of my limit. I caught everything today trolling various lures dipped/soaked in Bite-On Garlic!

By the time the masses were done eating Daniella annouced that the stocking truck had arrived with a truckload of lunker trout! Everyone made there way over to the launch ramp to watch what turned out to be the single, biggest stocking of large, healthy, full finned trout i've ever seen just waiting to put on a fight this trout season! I snapped a bunch of pics of some of the lunkers as they cruised on by.

DD+ after DD+ lunker trout all swimming within arms reach! Ohh man I soooo can't wait to hook into one of those bad boys this trout season! After the stocking was over Daniella again instructed everyone to return to the picnic area for the raffle and pie!
I was the 1st one in line again for a piece of pie as Ernie was slicing 'em up!

Everyone enjoyed their pie as Daniella and Kewly Clause started the raffle. Here's a pic of a familiar face accepting his raffle prize.

Seems as though everyone walked away with something from the raffle. I won a Diawa lite spinning trout combo. After the raffle was over I loaded up my boat, said my good byes, and headed home after another amazing day of fishing.
Tomorrow night a bunch of us are going to be getting together in the lot to BBQ/camp the line and to fish Saturday. Come joins us for some good times and great fishing at my favorite lake, the Vine!
Trout season baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
