Lake Perris - Best place to launch float tube

When I was fishing at Perris in a boat last week, I saw a couple guys tubing near the buoy line from the dam. It looks like you can launch from a trail opposite side of the launch ramps. Anyone have any info or suggestions? Thanks! Im planning on heading there tomorrow.

I've only been there once, but we went all the way around back to Ramona and turned left on Martin / Bernasconi that had a small entrance and picnic area. They had a checkin booth, but becuase no one was at the booth we put our parking pass into an envelop and parked by the camping area. It was a little bit of a walk to shore because they blocked off the road so you can't drive down, but it wasn't that bad.
