Stopped at Castaic for the short section before going to work this morning. Got to the dock, jigged some shads. There was a big ball of bait but it was hard to get them to bite this morning. I managed to get about 10 shad then head to my spot. Here come my pb 7lbs and 23 inches.
PS:Thanks to Dan and Tim on the boat stopped by and gave us some shads.

How exactly are you 'jigging' for the shad? Curious minds want to know.

nice fish for sure! i was out there jigging for shad and they weren't cooperating but we managed a few pieces and had fun catching bass all afternoon. gotta try the morning session next time.

Nice fish.... that's one of my favorite shore spots too.
but yeah, what do you mean by jigging for shad? You using sabiki rigs?
