I think Perris should have its own section like some of the other lake's. or is this a bad idea?

I agree, but also think it should be divided accordingly.. like county lakes, state park lakes, paid/stocked lakes.

I really hope thatthis happens. There are other lakes that have their own that I just dont think should...but opinions are like butt holes...everyone has one.

I just posted a thread about tubing at Perris in the Tubers section. Anyone have any advice as far as a good place to launch? Im trying to get to the far side of the lake, over towards the buoy line at the dam. Thanks!

Four great spots to launch from:

Parking Lots 11&12 ramp at the far northeast of the lake, if you're hunting for trouts, basses, carps, and cats. Panfishes moved deeper now.

Main launching ramp next to the marina, where the panfishes, trouts, and occasional basses roam.

Sail Cove (next to the beach) at the far northwest side near the dam. Perfect for panfishes, trouts, and awesome finds if you're looking for the possible elusive stripers. Trouts tend to congregate there, along with high-strung-overloaded-testosterone-foul-mouth-beer-chugging wonders over there. Just watch yourself not to step on any toe or you'll have a nice brawl on your hand.

Bernasconi ramp at the south side, using Bernasconi Rd to get to. Not the most favorite launching point for anyone, but what you get over there is, well, interesting mix bag. They're all going deep now, so, best place to launch is the Sail Cove.

If you think about it, there are several lakes that deserve their on page. I guess it depends on ow many posts are made on a daily-weekly,-monthly basis........but you got my vote too....

LMB is great at the east end, Parking Lots 11&12 at the crack of dawn. With the rain's coming, hit the water fast! After the rain on Friday, hit it even harder. You get another crazy chance on Sunday too. Man, with the rain in the distant, your chance of landing a few nice one is extremely high. I believe the Yum Money Minnows are great for top water, while the crappies' Mr. Gary Yamamoto's Senkoswim dark watermelon with glitter give a great slow sink presentation for below surface. Let that puppy sink a bit after casting, and use a bit of jerking, better yet, trolling, you'll land a few prize winner in no time. If you have the cash to shell out, Rapala X Shad purple/silver and red/orange will land you serious types of chewers, panfishes, basses, and trouts alike. Once the sun comes up, spoons will wake those boys up out of their dismal half-slumber. Pete Marino is a great guy to discuss the issues with. He is the master when it comes to hitting the right spots in that lake. He know most of the lake's bottom since he metered and scanned the crap out of that lake. Me, I got the entire detail off the shallow areas and around the island. However, the deeper portions, I will be braving that frontier soon, and will make a contour map of the lake for everyone to use. Good luck. Tight lines.

Thansk again for great tips! Unfortunately I have to deop the kids off at school at about 0830, so I wont get on the water until fairly late...about 0930. Im hoping to catch a few, and just learn some techniques in the tube. Ill spend a few hours out there, so hopefully Ill have something good to report! Thanks again!

Yes, everyone go to DVL!!! There's more and bigger fish to catch and more shoreline to fish. Leave Perris to us lowly tubers. LOL
