Castaic Lagoon HELP!

Many many failures LMB shorefishing at Castaic Lagoon... Need help.
Anybody got some tips and advice on best time of day and what spots?
Best way to catch at nighttime?
Where do you target your casts? How far to cast?
Anything! Help!

I'm going to the Lagoon for the first time this Saturday night! I would appreciate some tips as well. Thinking about drop shotting some cut bait and throwing some cranks. Can I catch striper in the Lagoon? I'm getting conflicting reports from online sources.

There are no stripers in lower casteic,cat fish.gills and carp and large mouth bass.
If you wand to catch stripers at night,may want to try the duct.

Thanks for the input TROUT MASTERS. Where is the nearest duct that I can fish in? If it's a secret spot, it's all good if you don't wanna share. I've been looking around on google earth but can't seem to see any.
