Went out with Bassgrabber James to Perris Lake today and was on the water by 1:30 went to our first spot and the only fished we managed was a 3lb-7oz'er that I got on a DS right before we made a move. We stayed at the next spot the rest of the day and it paid off. Picking up a few fish here and there. We seen a lot of bait balls and fish working them on top.....although they were just keyed in and we couldn't seem to get those ones to bite. After wasting an hour or two on those fish we scooted up about a hundred yards. James was throwin in the tules while I was fishing a little deeper (like 12 feet) when the big one hit. The wind started picking up and our boat was drifting here and there. I was throwing reaction baits and then I picked up my carolina rig and on the first cast I feel pressure and then nothing, then some more pressure and nothing...then...tick....tick I set the hook and I think Im snagged. All of a sudden ZZZZZZzzzzzzz the fish takes a huge run and jumps out of the water. I see the head and I tell James "Its an 8 bro, grab the net." I fight for a few minutes with a 6lb leader while James untangles the net lol and we scoop it in the net. Sure enough the bad boy weighed 7-12 on the digi. What a fish....broke my previous PB by 1lb 10oz's.

Great jobs boys. Love seeing those monsters pulled out of Perris' water.

James, you might want to start your own dingy service  Of course, you have to compete with Pete's Man's Machine with your Boy's Toy, but, one step at at time..right? Us boys still only have our Baby's Toy at the time being, but we'll upgrade sooner or later.
