This fish held by Bruce Condello of BigBluegill.com was 2 lbs. plus and was raised in a small lake as part of a test to grow larger panfish. You can sure see traits of both fish in this big beautiful fish!

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m121/fishmounter/Redear2.jpgDAMN! How old is this fish? Look how thick it is!

A CPR only panfish lake would be intense.

I'm not going to comment on the fish's hybridization today. All I'm going to say is that is one fat pig and it must of put up one hell of a fight.

The fish might have been rather young, feeding must of been frequent, and I think the owners may have limited the number of fish in the pond. I did this in my backyard pond with my feeders and they turned out to be large and plump just like this piggy here.

Well I have a 300 gallon pond and in it a 14" butterfly koi which was raised since it was 3", about 2 dozen 4"-7" feeder goldfish, 4-5 Bluegills ranging from 5"-7".
