I've only been out on AM boats and i'm thinking about going on a twilight. for those that frequent the cattle boats, which do you prefer?

is the ocean rougher in the evening?

i like the twilights theres alot less people and the seas are almost always flat due to lack of wind.. am's seem to get a few more fish but are alot more crowded.

It all depend on what you want to target???

Not always the case:

Cudas, bonies, sculpins, basses, halies, rockfish = more daylight trip = AM

Basses, sculpins, shark, squid = more night trip = twilight

In general throught the whole year, twilight do usually see less people but when the sandies are spawning and the days are too hot, the twilight boat will get packed. Twilight usually start out as rougher than AM since it "usually always" have winds but then lays down towards the end of the night.
