Woke up late dad lends me the truck because hes spendin the day with the wife so of course im goin fishing. Been wanting to hook a fish on the lc's so i decided todays the day. I left all my big hammers at home and left for the beach. Got there around 1300 and looww tide but no worries im fishin. Threw the sardine colored lc all the way down the beach with no bites and now im starting to worry. Retie to a different color bass pro shop xps i believe and second cast a little flatty. Got my confidence goin and i start working my way back. Get freight trained slam the hooks in and game on. Nice chunky bsp. Released him and kept walking and boom another hookup. Thing went nuts and i see a silver moon shaped fish and its big im thinkin spotfin but no just my pb bsp :Smile::Smile:. I land another decent bsp but didnt snap a pick and kept movin. These surf perch surprised me the way they hit that big lure. I had one hit me all the way on the beach and ripped the rod outta my hand straightening the hook. At this point its dark, im soaking wet and freazing so i decide to head home and rub it in my dads face that i caught fish!:Big Grin:
I found the right speed of retrieve for these lures and i did ok. 3bsp and 1 short halibut and numerous missed strikes. Its only a matter of time before i find something that rips drag. The next day i head out again with my dad and hr before sundown land one bsp and had a ldr on a bigger fish not sure but guessin big perch
