Fished Jess ranch today,10-23. No trout only cats on power bait. Pretty much slow all over. Fished power mouse n just straight up power bait. The cats I caught were a 4# n a 5.4 on 4# test. Not a good day.

Those are nice sized cats (if you like em), I know they fight good. JR trout can be hot one day, off the next. I always catch mine off the "grassy knoll" at lake 3, right off the point. Since the waters so clear, I'd leave one rod out with powerbait, then hide behind a bush throwing minijigs to get my limits. You'll get em next time!

I went yesterday and I would imagine it was just as slow. I got 3 trout in a 6hr period with my friends getting 1 or 2 here and there. One of our group brought the kitty killer out and caught 3 cats in an hr and a half, his first cat chomped right on the drop!!! Hopefully once this heat wave passes it'll pick up at the ranch!!!

You shouldnt complain. It beats the :Skunk: for sure.
