SWAT strikes again.

Headed out to DVL to kill the stripers with my buddy Toads Toads Only (Jonathan) and his cousin Daniel. We found an area with some scattered boils but there was no volume behind them just a few fish here and there. Between us we had about a dozen or so blow-ups on top water lures but they just wouldn't commit. Toads finally got one to stick on a Sammy and he put the first fish on the boat.

The boils fizzled and we kept looking around as we made our way to one of Toads spots. We got to the spot and dropped anchor in deep water. Never saw any fish on the meter the whole time we were there. No bait fish, no birds, no boils, no signs of life. We sat on that same spot until it was time to leave…KILLED IT... We left with limits.

When we left the bite was wide open. We had 4 fish going at time for the 3 of us. We were swapping rods and rotating on the double up position to avoid tangles. We managed to get every fish we hooked today. Not a single fish lost. Good times great fishing can't wait go back..

It was a great trip out there we killed the jailbirds it funny Jerry when I told you anchor here this is where they are at. You gave me this funny look like OK.... flat bottom, no structure, deep water, not 1 mark on the fish finder, no signs of life, far away from where everyone was anchored and I said trust me Jerry they are here. Not to long after then BENDO!!!!!....WFO.........!!!!! Andrew (Porchop) sure missed out.

Very nice haul of "jailbirds" you guys got there and it appears that "TTO" has the striper bite dialed in. And what a great call on his part to have you dropped the anchor even though there were no marks on the graph..... WTG "TTO" and Congrats on an awesome limit of fish guys.

Fished Tuesday...Cold, rain, wind... slow for the first few hours and then it went wide open...ended up with limits for 2 and another 10 + released...biggest was 8.9 lbs....long day with the weather but good fishing to be had...

With a few mods to the yak you should have no problem reaching the area TJ. Just think of how much more range you will have after
retrofitting the outrigger and adding the side mounted the four stroke motor...LOL

I added kayaks to my tackle aresonal over 10 years ago for fishing the coast. I have a lot of use out of them over the years.
I'm still amazed by the fishing you can get in to in those little plastic boats.

Only 2 minutes from DVL You gotta get out there Robert. Time to plan a inland fresh water mission for some land locked
saltwater bass. Sorry no buts plenty of Stripers to make up for it though.
