Talked to another boat who said he got a ticket yesterday while tied up to the cable by the inlet. He said she wrote up four different boats. Snuck up on them in the fog with one of the new jon boats. A quick $300 for DVL.

+1^ This. It always surprises me when I see a post that pooh poohs the rangers or cops or whoever is just upholding the rules. Maybe you have decided for yourself that the rule is unfair or stupid, but until it changes be ready for the consequence if you violate said rule.

Why don't they have a sign posted ANYWHERE near the inlet (like Skinner)? And the guy at Skinner will at least give a warning. Seems like the DVL staff are just looking to cash in. BTW do the DVL rentals come with 200+ ft of anchor rope (or have 2 anchors even?)?
