Went to corona for the tailwalker bite, got there at 2:05am!!! was 5th car in line! Well let me make it short, the bite was so slow to everyone!!! YES i got skunked!! and so did 99% of the lake, including the boats!!! seriously it was so boring with no one getting bites or anything. I only seen 4 fish get caught out of everyone!! It was really packed and people started leaving little by little. I called it a day at 11am.

Wow that sucks . I knew that wide open bite would not last forever . Where did you fish from ? Dam area ? Thanks for posting up . You will get them next time .

Was also out there today. Saw the stock video and was pumped about the fishing. Fished from 0830-1115. One short bite... thats it. Literally only saw 4 hookups. 2 tubers and 2 shore. I did however see some fish on stringers likely caught before I got there. Definitely a slow bite. I should have waited for those Nebraska fish to acclimate. The lake will get better and better as the season matures. Good luck if you are heading out this weekend. Bite should get better but I would wait for the sierra bows which seem to acclimate much quicker. Once these tailwalkers get hungry should be fun.

It was horribly slow I threw my whole collection on lures and plastics for a big skunk. Got desperate and got one around 1230 on pbait on the boat!

Cooler nights, cooling water. Maybe the fish took off right after planting? Did anyone hit the back side?

Tailwalkers can take a while to acclimate.
Especially when they're coming from pristine Nebraska rivers to the great Corona Lake!

So... considering that yesterday they stocked tailwalkers at Corona and silver cat at SARL, which is more likely to give more action so close to the day they were stalked?

How crazy... a day catfish 17 doesn't have a full stringer at Corona! Didn't expect to see that.

i was also there and it was easy to see that no one was having any luck with the recent stocking of the tailwalkers. i was fishing next to the dam and only saw 2 fish caught from shore and 1 from a boat.

Only the troops in Iraq are coming home, and guess what? They're probably going to get re-routed to Afghanistan after a short break home. Or maybe Iran? Syria? Yemen? It never ends for our troops. Support them 100%... our government... not so much.
