It's a cove where they do the boat inspections and as for the fish they seem to have chased trout into the shallows and I assumed they wanted to play with the reaction baits. I think it's the one near the the sheriff boats

The first bass was off the dam but i nearly ate it very hard so i decided it wasn't a good choice to continue haha

Very nice catches indeed. You haven't seen nothing yet. Wait until you hit the deeper water with a tube. You'll then revise the "fight so hard" with the "OOOOHHH CRAP" statement

Always good to start out something that you can soak in the water with, but at the same time, keep in mind for something to stay above the water during winter. Wader + cold water + cold air + coffee = hm...plenty of shore leave for bathroom break or one full wader of piss LOL

Nice fish! The dam and the launch ramps are two of my favorite places to fish from shore. Although, the dam can be frustrating to fish a lot of times. Not to mention dangerous if you're not light on your feet.

But have never launched in perris.

Launching points: Bernasconi Ramp, south side. Parking Lots 11 & 12, east side. Boat primary launch ramp, north side. Sail Cove, west side near the dam. Any of the beaches, all along north side. If you have pontoon with wheel to haul it all over the place, you're in luck. If not, the Sail Cove and the main launch ramp are the only options. If you have money, launch out of the helicopter or airplane, parachute above the lake, and make a splendid splash. Otherwise, stick with the poor boy's launch style  With the cold days approaching, a pontoon is a good thing to have. Cold water pressing on the wader and your body, it's definitely not fun on the bladder. At least the pontoon allows you to have some mobile rig for the quick release into a portable piss-bag/bottle..hahahahahaha..

We fish everywhere. Shallow at the east end. Deep at the west end. Hunt the schools along the south end. Picking the fight with the watercrafts and hunt the pigs on the north end. Your choice depending on your mood.
