sculpin? its tough to get away from those things! catch them any time of day, usuall around the shoe's different areas or off of point fermin. went up to santa monica bay for some rockfish and they were everywhere. anywhere from 50 ft and deeper is what i have come to know, but maybe shallower if youre in the right spots. lives around rocky bottoms, so thats really all you need to find.

Thanks guys, much appreicated.

Besides being able to catch them from the boat and they are year round species and the bag limit is 5 per angler per day at 10 inches per fish to be legal.

Would i be able to catch them from a jetty or peir? if so any suggestions on jetties or peirs?
