First time at Cerritos Lake

Got there about 830 or so. Nobody else there???? Started with a chatter bait, then to a spinner bait threw my BBZ1 shad in between those. Nothing. Went to the old reliable Senko. First cast caught this 3 lb or so. Didn't hit it hard, thought I was snagged at first. Nice little fighter though. sorry about the photo. The fish was acting weird, would not close his mouth. I just wanted to get it back in the water quick. Swam away fine. Had something blow up the BBZ1 but completely missed it. Had a few short bites on the Ika. Only 2 other guys fishing when I left..

Cerritos is having some fishing derby this weekend and the park will be closed. After they stock it of course. Also, they put in a bunch of blue dye into the water to kill the weeds. You can't see a foot into the water. Didn't even get my line wet.
