View Full Version : Found the shad today with a little help from my friend

Went out this afternoon, I had some payback after my trip with Shad Dave on Monday, Tuesday the wind shut it down so I had to find out what the wind did to the bait.
So I ran around the lake to some of my spots and saw some good signs of life, made a small pick on the first stop and decided to keep looking cause this was also a recon trip, Ran into one of my lil friends in the back of a cove and he was on point and led me right to them, made a nice dip and started fishing.
The bite was almost on each bait tossed out, to much fun, had the cove all to myself, lefted them biting at lil after 6:00... Headed up to Santa Barbara to pick up my new to me seats for the boat... Just a few of the fish for some Bass porn for your enjoyment... Boats open for fFriday and the weekend..

nice nice.... going to chicago tomorrow.... cant wait for the next trip... we need to do some crawdad fishing soon

Yes sir, just gets better and better, ran into shad again today, I had to dump half of them out of the net before I could lift it in the boat...

Hey Dave,
Thinking about heading out there this week and looking for a little info. Like are the striper boils still happening because I was there two weeks ago and only saw four or five boils all day. If you prefer to you can PM me.

He made plenty of noise and few off yelling
