My partner and I started the day out fishing jigs in about 40ft we managed to catch a few nice jig fish early and then around 9:00 the bite got a little tough then around noon we found the right point that was holding bait,fish and some wind and the bite went off we managed around 13 fish to 4lbs all keepers but three in about 45min a double hookup and everything it was crazy we caught all of our fish on the dropshot in 40-50 ft it was all about being in the right place at the right time we metered a lot of fish on other spots during the day but only managed to pluck one or two here and there the fish on this spot wanted to eat I think the combination of the bait being present as well as the wind played a big roll we finished with 20+ keepers and a hand full of short fish all in all a great day on the jewel.
