Here's what I've been catching in my area ,which is LA. I want better and bigger. Can I achieve that by not using a boat. And if not, how much to rent a boat? And how much to go there period? All fees I should prepare for is what I'm asking? Hope someone can help me.

You gotta to come out and fish for LMB at DV, there is alot of structure from shore...you can venture out left or right side of the marina. Rentals Boat are 1/2 price on Weds, If your not to sure what to use stop by Last Chance Bait and Tackle on Sanderson st, they are great folks who can give you pointers. Good luck and post your report w/pics!!

My .02--if you're coming all the way from L.A., rent the basic boat for 1/2 price on Wed. for 50 bucks. It's worth it especially once they stock the trout (once the water is below 70 degrees) that is if you want bigger and better bass of the green and moreso the striped variety.
