Had a chance to take my brother from out of town to do some striper trolling action on Sunday. Kicked off the morning getting some gas, ice, and a bake chicken for lunch. After discussing troll plan, we got the rigs down DEEP in the marina cove we headed for the main point. We were not even outside the white buoy line when my Bro said Fish On! Zzzzzzzz. My brother has'nt caught a striper before so it was all him cranking in the beast. With a little coaching and some kaos, he did a pretty dam good job:

We skipped from point to point on the south shore heading west and still running DEEP, the water was blooming with algae in some areas:

We missed a couple of strikes cause we were cathing up on old times and chowing down on that baked chicken. I finally got on some schoolies which were running shallower than the fattie we caught earlier, and the next few fish were caught by by bro:

Hookup at Db point:

We cruised around and tried the bait and wait fleet but there were no takers on the troll there.
It was great being on the water with family, we made a pac to do more fishing together like
we used to back in our earlier years. We plan on a Willow Beach trip in the winter to target monster DD's.

To Vince- Way to slay the stripers. You guys did great considering a little challenge from the algae bloom. You finally found your new striper attractant: Baked chicken scent! Congrats again and hope to see you on the water next time. I know that we were both zig-zagging around the lake to try to find them. Great to hear your new stuff's working on the troll! Excellent news.........

SEAU, we saw some boils close to rocks on the south side shsore may have been lmb or? but none of the
frothy 50yd x 50yd boils we saw last year. i always have a topwater rig up on the bow just in case.

Barry, the morning was great, then a lull, then the afternoon wind bite kicked in around 3pm- Good times on the boat, we had a chicken war going on.. Hopefully I'll make it out this weekend again to try some new okuma trolling rods, we actually caught the fish using my old 8ft down rigging rod I use for trout alot of bendo action.

That was a Pb for him, we were stoked so early in the troll. Man only imagine those DD's coming into the marina when the sond of the stocking bell rings. Steve-use the "white meat" there I gave you some vital info go get em ha!
