Well, it has been forever and a day since I have been on here. I used to frequent this site often, but then moved to Havasu. It is a pretty slow day at work today and I had fishing on my mind so I figured I would throw some photos on here from havasu. Some are from last year but most are from this summer and some even as recent as a few nights ago.

This turtle was caught September of last year by my cousin. It was about 2300 and we were drifting anchovies near Windsor Beach Launch Ramp. The turtly had to of been at least 25-30 pounds. Imagine the confusion of reeling one of these things in...

This bass was also caught last year by my son. It is his biggest bass to date and it was caught on a 5in Senko in Mesquite Bay South.

This catfish was caught in the middle of the day in the middle of summer this year at Lake Mohave. My dog always loves to check the fish out...

This carp was taken over summer at the Sand Bar. The striper were spawning in the river at the time so I thought I had a big lineside hooked. Needless to say I was a little dissappointed, but I love the battle of any big fish and sometimes target carp if I am in the mood.

As always, my dog wanted to check it out. he has no fear even though the fish is nearly 3 times his size.

After going on a dryspell of fish and trying all over the lake, we ended up and the channel and finally got my bait clicker to do its job. He was stoked to finally feel a big fish at the other end.

The result... a nice channel cat.

We decided we would head back later that night and within 2 hours, we caught about 8 more channel cats. Pictured is the bigger one of the night and I am guessing it went about 15 pounds.

Well, I hope you enjoyed a product of my bordom. Oh yeah, if there is anyone out there that targets big catfish and would like to share some pointers, I am all ears. I am using live bluegill on the carolina rig like everyone says to do but still haven't been able to get a big flathead. Pointers would be nice!!!

Parting shot- My son flyfishing at 6 years old...

Thanks for taking the time for this post. I enjoyed it a lot and the great pictures. There is nothing better in life than fishing with your children. I started fishing with my dad at about 5 years old and am still doing it at 70+. My kids are still fishing but they live miles away from me so we don't fish much together any more. Here is a pic of a striper I caught 2 weeks ago in the California aqueduct. My first bite in 8 1/2 years.33274
I had to wake up my wife and show her the fish because I don't ever get bit. This fish weighed 15 pound and tasted good. Some day your son will hook up to a fish like this and he will never be home. He will be at the lake fishing.

I find that flatheads at night are best in waters that have flooded trees or any type of wood. Works like a charm out by me.
