Has anyone had any luck at Balboa pier recently? I haven't been there for a few weeks but the last 2 times I have gone nothing was being caught because of sea lions. Any advice?

There are always micro sand dabs and lizardfish on the bottom! :LOL:
I was surf fishing just north of balboa. I know its not the pier, but i caught 2 guitarfish and a yellowfin croaker. fishing should be fine off the pier for macks. dunno if anything will be WFO though, they say the red tide is moving through the area

Last week was 2' @ 5 lbs ea Humbolt Squid at Balboa.
