I'm in the dark on this. Never fished for or caught a striped bass. I've also never trolled for a bass at all, only trout. Something tells me bass get a bit more interested in lures other than spoons and such.

What is your favorite lure for trolling for striper?

The only trolled lure I have caught them on is rapala XR06. Schoolies, sub-3 lbs.
Haven't really tried anything else though...

Try spro bucktail jigs with swim bodies, or storm swim baits.

It should be noted that none of these will always be productive. You need to be flexible. Not only changing shape and size, but color as well. I can pretty much promise that trolling an 8" Spro triple trout won't get you anything right now. Study up on striper habits and match the hatch.

I went out the first time trolling a suspending jerk bait and got my first striper ever on it. That was Saturday without any responses here.

I'll have to check these out, and make it further up the lake where I can troll shallow away from the shore fisherman next time. I tested a swim bait later but I wasn't on any fish so it was hardly a test, lol. I'll have to start to gather stuff up so I can try to match the hatch.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions thus far.
