Hey Bowlfrogg, this season I've decided to access the lobster from a boat like you. My question is, can I catch them any where inside the harbor/ bay? I've caught them from piers like Santa Monica, Golleta, and Ocean Beach in the past but on a boat, in the bay ,is a whole other animal. Please give me any advise, thank you.
PS. I've read that the best places for catching them are best the more south you go. So, I was thinking San Diego Bay would be really good?! But since I'm a beginner, I will probably stay more local, like LB.

SD is great but local Longbeach bugs are just as good. Yeah you can do from shoreline to break wall. no inside the jetties but along the outside jetty walls you are fine.
