My son and I spent the last 4 days camping at Trumbull campground. It was a tough time. The 45 year old Coleman camp stove gave me fits even after a I installed a new valve and generator and the front zipper on the tent broke (covered it with a tarp)
I've never seen so many float tubes on that small of a lake. I guess they stocked Alpers the day before we got there and DFG dumped a load in all 3 lakes the day we got there. Because of the huge pressure at both Virginia's we only tubed Trumbull, I mean WE only tubed it, I didn't see another tube on that lake the 4 days we were there. Did ok with sink tip line and the normal streamers but late Friday I switched over to floating line and a small Hornberg, that was the ticket for sure.
We didn't have any rain but it was cold at night and it did rain at camp some, while we were at Bodie on Sat afternoon. The camp was maybe 10% full.
