The title Mexican fish finder posted on another site , ole frog sure got a chuckel out of that title.
Years ago ole frog hired an older Mexican guide and boat out a Baja costal town .
This fellow took me out in his boat,after an hour or so of travel he breaks out this old copper ear horn.
I don't know if many of you remember one of these ?.
Not,many people here I suspect, eons before hearing aids.
Well he sticks this thing in the water with it up to his ear for a few minutes.
Then he says fish, lots of fish senor I can hear them.
Not being one to raise a fuss ole frog went along with it.
I caught all the fish I wanted lots of fish there.
This was at a time when the waters down south were rich with fish.
One did not need a fish finder ,ole frog is sure he knew his location by time and heading.
I have always wondered how many flatlanders this old guide took out and they belived he could hear the fish.
Some people will go to no ends with humor ,years and years later I still get a chuckel out of this one.
I bet this old fellow had them in stiches at the cantina ,over a good Mexican cerveza at telling storys about his fish finder.
