Coast Guard Station 9/23

Got my cuda! Unfortunately not too much else. The sandbass simply yawned as I threw every fly in my box at them around the NPH coast guard station from 10:00-1:00 today. Maybe they like the incoming tides better. I did manage two small calicos plus one large lizardfish besides the one cuda (pictured from different angles, first one ever for me).

The keel on my yak is leaking again so I need another plastic-weld. You guys who have yaks, take my advice and get wheels for them and use those wheels every time!

Looks like fun in a yak.
So are you using a fly fishing fly on your spinning setup ? Did that sort of thing on rivers before.

LOL no - 8 weight TFO TicrX with Rio Striper 300 grain.

But, I started out that way in the surf many years ago. :Embarrassed:
