Big Bass Hunter and I went back to the wood on Friday to try and upgrade from the previous weeks catch of mostly dinks to something we could put in the boat.

Initially topwater bite was on, but after I missed a few blow ups and BB caught his giant striper (see photo), we settled into throwing soft plastics and crankbaits.

All in all we boated 9 LMB. And the one big striper. And had a great day doing it!

Just glad to keep the catfish off my crankbait this time huh BB? lol.

Great catch! Man, the water looks really choppy out there. You guys are nuts! But, who say we anglers are sane?

I know you werent looking for them, but It's nice to see such a healthy stiper in there. I havent caught anything I wanted to kill out of there lately so you've given me some hope.

Catfish? Next time you catch them send them over to my dinner plate. Best table fair =}

Yah man, that striper is a chunk! Years ago I heard that lake was the go-to striper location, but lately they don't even mention stripers in the fish report from Silverwood in the Press Enterprise.
