stripping paint from hardbaits

I'm looking for a safe, efficient way to completely strip paint off a hardbait i bought recently but wanted to go down to the bare clear plastic. The bait is painted white now, but wanted to give it a custom phantom trout style paint job.

Anyone have any ideas?
