So with that in mind, has anyone ever used a Canon Mini-troll downrigger on their toon?

Ive never used a downrigger before so I dont know what to look out for. I think I read somewhere it mentioned loosening the drag on the downrigger so if your weight snags on something, you dont go end up snagging and sinking.
My pontoon frame is 3/4 inch tubing, so its pretty thick. I mount a trolling motor on it but maybe adding a mini troll would be too much? I also mount a 105Ah battery that weighs about 60lbs, so I may have to get a smaller battery. The specs on the downrigger states that its 3lbs, add a 4lb weight and probably 1 or 2lbs for the line (im guessing) and youre adding close to 10 lbs on the frame and boat.
I think it would be nice to be able to troll deeeeep from an inflatable.
Thoughts?
