i started going to garden grove tackle just recently, they have great live bait and tackle selection, well friday morning i stop in to get some gear and the owner starts talking to me about how he slayed the carp and lake henshaw, with his broken english its hard to understand him but hes a nice dude. He shows me this rod he uses that collapses down an fits into a nice leather container, he says they come from his country ive never seen them before, he told me since his english is bad he demo the rod for moe outside, he has a little ice chest modded with a tripod holder to hold a thick carbon fiber rod, then u lay the thinner longer carbon fiber rod on top of it, the tripod adjust the angle of the rod and there are no guides whatsoever, you tie line to the end with a slip bobber and just put it out. when u get a fish u just lift the rod up and hold it, let the fish tire out then lift it out of the water. he then told me for diamond valley he uses an even longer rod and pulls that out these are crazy this is like one if anyone has a name for them id like to know what they are and if anyone has ever used one.

Compensating for something.

I see a guy with one of those at Casitas sometimes, if I see him before you have swell answers here I'll harass him as to how where when he got it and what exactly it is.

You can find those at any Korean tackle shop. I know a Korean guy who fishes mainly carp and that's exactly what he uses. They're normally measured in meters.

exactly the owner at GG tackle uses it for carp, says people complain about not catching carp and he can go and catch 20-30
